Chipotle Hummus Recipe. Looking for a little southwestern version of this classic middle-eastern dip? This version gives you a little heat and smokiness.

Ingredients
| chick-pea (canned) | 1 cup | drained |
| lemon juice | 1/4 cup | |
| olive oil | 1/4 cup | |
| garlic clove | 2 | chopped |
| chipotle chile (canned) | 1 | seeded & chopped |
| cumin | 1/2 tsp | to taste |
| salt | 1/2 tsp | |
| cilantro | 1/4 cup | chopped |
Directions
- In a food processor combine the chickpeas, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, chipotle chile, cumin, and salt. Pulse until smooth. Add a small quantity of water if it is needed.
- Remove to a serving bowl and stir in the cilantro.
Notes
A food processor will be needed to make this recipe properly.
