Marinated Mozzarella

mozzarella cheese 3/4 lb 3/4 inch thick and cut into bite size cubes
olive oil 1/2 cup
lemon 1/2 juiced
parsley 1 Tbsp chopped
basil (fresh) 1 Tbsp
red pepper flakes 1/4 tsp


  1. In a bowl combine the olive oil, lemon juice, parsley, basil, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Add the mozzarella cubes and toss.
  3. Cover with plastic wrap and let it stand for 2 hours at room temperature before serving.


When you go to your deli counter tell them to cut the mozzarella 3/4 inch thick.
